Today I woke up so tired...I immediately realized that I needed a lovely, high in vitamins breakfast to cheer me up. I saw some apples and I remembered about my childhood dessert: grated apples with honey and biscuits. I didn't have any biscuits so I chose a healthier ingredient: raw walnuts. It was just what I needed! Easy, quick, healthy, sweet, crunchy...yum!
Try it! It's low in calories, high in vitamins and it's ready in less than 5 minutes!
1 apple
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp honey (or other healthy sweetener for vegans)
5 walnuts, chopped
some goji berries or raisins (optional)
Note: You can substitute walnuts with some healthy, gluten and sugar-free biscuits. You'll love the crunchy combination.
Directions:
Grate the apple.
Add the grated apple, lemon juice, cinnamon and honey in a bowl and mix all ingredients together.
Place on a plate. Add the chopped walnuts and goji berries. Sprinkle some cinnamon on top.
Enjoy! Super-easy, super-healthy sweet breakfast for a sweet morning!
